Welcome! I have created this site to offer a source of information about childbirth and support for women who want to experience an empowering birth. I believe that birth is so much more than the high-risk medical procedure our culture today leads us to think. It is more than what you go through to have a baby. Birth is an experience that involves the physical, emotional, and spiritual sides of a woman, the baby's father, and the newborn life, too. We do our children, our society and ourselves an injustice by allowing the medical model to reduce birth to the purely physiological process, fraught with danger and requiring a highly skilled surgeon in attendance. I advocate a return to pure birthing, the way nature intended, as a catalyst for empowering mothers and strengthening families, allowing children access to their full potential, and changing the world for the better.
